Dimaggio’s Italian Pizza is a taste of Sicily on Main Street in Mount Vernon. Owned and operated by an Italian family, all of the ingredients are fresh and many of them are from Italy.

“Our recipes go back to when my grandfather came from Italy,”  says the owner. “We don’t use frozen hamburger or sausage. We make our pizza dough and sauces fresh every day. Our mozzarella comes in fresh in Chicago. We grate it ourselves. It’s not pre-shredded. Our Alfredo sauce is made with freshly grated Parmesan, fresh parsley, and oive oil from Italy. A lot of our ingredients come from our hometown, Terassini, Sicily. We bring them back when we visit.”
