Lowry Hollow features tasteful furniture and decor, both old and new. It’s located in New Harmony’s Old Train Depot, an historic building that was moved from its original site across town to its present scenic location near the Inn. Another layer of history was added when Jane Owen renovated it and turned it into a garden shop.
“This building and this area remind me of where I grew up,” says owner Lynne Wilson. “There were gardens all around and my mom decorated with old things around new, which is what I like to do as well. So we refurbish old furniture, sell antiques as is, an mix in some new things as well. We’re kind of off the beaten path, but it’s worth it for such a beautiful setting.”
