Mt. Vernon River Days
September 13 - September 14
River Days is held right on the Ohio riverfront downtown Mt. Vernon, Indiana. The festival is held to remember the rich historic heritage enjoyed by the Ohio River town. For the 2024 River Days (Sept 13 & 14) the tradition will continue with family favorite events, entertainment, and of course the scrumptious food booths.
Opening ceremonies will kick-off Friday morning and the event will wrap up Saturday evening. Planning committee meetings have begun with expectations of familiar events returning such as ‘Smoke on the Ohio,’ a talent show, a 5K race, the classic car show, Little Miss and Mister contests, parades (including street, pet, and boat), and possibly another highlight on hydroplanes. Details on scheduled events will be posted as the committee finalizes participants and timelines.
