Thanks to all of the wonderful feedback on this exhibition, we are extending it through Sunday, November 24th!
The word confined can be defined as a restricted area or space, being restricted, or refer to the feeling Victorian women felt living a life of limitation. In this exhibition you will feel all three. Confined: A true Victorian experience, follows the story of three women; Mary Jeffries, Adeline Tanner and Jane Doyle in the mid to late 1800s. These were real Victorian women whose life stories have been slightly altered but remain true at their core. This allows the viewer to take a trip back in time to feel the struggle women felt and immerse themselves into a historical experience. The artworks in this exhibition are not conventionally framed and offer a truly unique experience. From October 26th-November 24th come see “Confined: A True Victorian Experience” by our very own Megan Thorne.
