Christmas on Main Street

Mount Vernon’s Christmas On Main Street will be Saturday, December 11.
The Children’s Christmas Party will be 1 to 4 pm on Water Street between Walnut and Mulberry Streets. Events planned are a Milk and Cookie Station, Letters to Santa Station, Photo Station and gift bags. This will be an outdoors event.
Later that evening, there will be a Drive-Thru North Pole in front of the Mount Vernon Junior High School. High School students will be hosting and handing out Christmas presents during the event. Times are 6 to 8 pm.
Both events are for children up to 5th grade.
No Christmas Parade or Christmas decorations contest this year, but should be back in 2022.
We thought doing things for the kids this Christmas season was the most important. Next year with more volunteers and fundraising, we will have a regular 2022 Christmas On Main Street.
