This little town brings back the warmth of an old-fashioned Christmas where you’re walking from shop to shop, enjoying the sounds of carolers in the streets and sampling the tasty treats of the holidays! Our small town Christmas Parade on Saturday morning is not to be missed, and there is “Candyland” and the hot chocolate bar for the kiddos. Our vendors provide everything from home baked goodies to incredible works by skilled artisans that make exquisite gifts for those on your list. There is also a Holiday House Tour that highlights the diversity of architectural styles in this beautiful and historic town

Kick Off to Christmas in New Harmony, come for Santa, smores and train rides
Saturday December 6
8AM-10AM Breakfast with Santa
Join us at Holy Angels Catholic Center for a cheerful breakfast before the parade
9AM-4PM Christmas Vendors
located in the Ribeyre Gymnasium and Community House #2
Food Trucks
10AM-4Pm Carriage Rides
Ride through Main and Granary Streets and take in New Harmony’s scenic beauty. $5 per person

Full of community pride and holiday spirit. It is a wonderful family tradition. Come join us!
PARADE ROUTE: Main Street moving North from Steam Mill to Church Street – then East on Church to Brewery.
Come Early to get a good viewing location. Please do not park vehicles on parade route.
11AM-3PM Candy Land – Fun and Adventure for Kids of All Ages
Candyland is every kid’s fantasy! And it’s all FREE – every parent’s fantasy!
LOCATION: In front of the Working Men’s Institute at 407 Tavern Street
Take a look at all that’s going on from 11:00am (immediately after parade) until 3pm on Saturday, December 7th.

12PM Signature School Christmas Concert
FREE at Thrall’s Opera House
6PM-7PM Lighted Golf Cart Parade
A New Harmony tradition. Folks in the community adorn their golf carts with lights and decorations then parade up and downtown streets, spreading cheer.
If you have a cart and want to join – Line up- 5:30pm at the Roofless Church – candy to throw from your cart is optional.
If you don’t have a cart – Stand along Main Street (candy in this area only) or view the parade from your window, porch, or nearby street.
Prizes awarded at McClure Park at end of parade:

Come join us for a festive holiday experience at Christmas in New Harmony! The Holiday House Tour is one of the highlights of the town’s season kickoff, a rare opportunity to tour a variety of historic and private homes generally not open to the public. Lovingly decorated, the houses range from an original Harmonist house and a charming recently renovated cottage to historic architectural abodes, each of them unique, each of them lovely. Take this opportunity to stroll through the town or take advantage of free parking along the streets and enjoy each home at your own pace.
On-site tickets and maps are available at Community House #2, where you can start your tour. Immerse yourself in the charm of the season as you walk through the historic streets of New Harmony.

December 6-21st Gnome Scavenger Hunt
10 precious gnomes are hidden within plain sight for you to find! 1st prize – $200, 2nd prize – $100; application available at the Old Mill Mart.
