Weinzapfel’s Tavern is a small town, family oriented community tavern that was established in 1946 and has been owned and operated by the same family almost ever since.
“Weinzapfel’s hamburgers and cheeseburgers are the best,” says Brandi Deig, who along with her husband Bob own the tavern. “We still fry them the same way as Weinzapfel’s fried them 70 years ago. Our soups and chili are made exactly the same way as they have been for generations. We have a great pork chop sandwich that a lot of people swear by, and a Taco Tuesday. We’re also leaning towards healthier food. like turkey burgers and salad wedges, and we’re starting a pasta salad bar on Saturday nights.”
“We have a lot of old-timers who have been coming here for generations,” says Brandi. “We’re not just a bar where people come to drink. We have a large family room where all kinds of people, young and old, come to enjoy our great food and each other’s company. We have an event room people can reserve for parties or meetings. We have live music at least once a month, and the occasional Karaoke night”.
“Weinzapfel’s is a great place to see people in a small town atmosphere,” she says. “We want everyone to feel welcome.”
