Clementine’s Eclectic Gallery

Clementine’s Eclectic Gallery earns the “eclectic” in its name. The shop features high quality used books, original art and collectibles, as well as vintage Disney comic books, old magazines, sheet music, children’s toys, and other interesting items.

“Our big draw is the books,” says owner Jerry Stump. “We deal mostly in high quality hardbacks – non-fiction literature art, architecture and photography. We also have some collectible books; first editions and vintage children’s books”

“There’s not another place around here that has the kind, quality and selection that we have,” he says. “They’re priced well. Most are half the cover price or less.”

In addition to books, figurines and statuary, both old and new, are prominent in the store. Although what’s for sale is subject to change, on any given day you may find eclectic choices such as colorful Mexican statues from Oaxaca, Southwestern art from New Mexico, bronze figurines of 1920’s jazz players, and collectable figurines from famous artists such as Royal Doulton or Tom Clark.

Clementine’s also carries a good variety of vintage baseball cards and other sports collectibles, some jewelry and paintings and photographs to hang on the wall. A section of the store is dedicated to old, high quality magazines such as Life and Colliers, and other paper items such as sheet music. There are children’s toys, both old and new; the new ones being created by Jerry’s wife Annette, who also manages the store.

And if you like Disney comics, Clementine’s has a large, mostly pristine selection which Jerry has collected over many years.

“I pick what I like,” says Jerry. “I find our customers like it too.”
